40 days in Haiti: Mountains beyond mountains

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. In three months since creating my blog, I've had more than 700 views. I traveled to Haiti for 40 days, volunteer teaching with an NGO that celebrated its 25th anniversary the week of the earthquake. I spent a majority of my time in Jacmel, where my title comes from, a town off Haiti's southern coast. "Mountains beyond mountains" is a Haitian proverb most famously known through the work of Tracy Kidder. Spending 40 days with Haitian children, I came to realize how much they molded my perspective on life and will continue to do so in ways I never imagined. To God belongs all thanks.
